It is an invaluable reference tool providing an overview and core understanding of the law and regulation in key gambling territories, presented in a consistent and user friendly format by leading specialists in each jurisdiction.

AUTHOR DETAILS

Julian Harris

Recognised as a leading specialist in national and international Gaming and Licensing law, Julian Harris is highly regarded by both operators and regulators throughout the world. Julian is recommended in all guides to the legal profession and is described as "astute", someone who "never misses a trick" and is also a "highly regarded and deeply experienced adviser", who is often referred to as the country's leading figure in gambling law.

With over 25 years experience of gambling law, Julian has advised some of the world's largest gaming corporations and trade associations such as the British Casino Association and the Casino Operators Association. He is a member of the advisory board for the Global Gaming Exhibition (G2E) in Las Vegas which is operated by the American Gaming Association.

Bahar Alaeddini
Bahar is a partner in the gambling law team.  After graduating from King’s College London in 2007, Bahar trained as a barrister and was called to the Bar in 2008. She went on to work on the Turks and Caicos Islands public inquiry with the Rt Hon Sir Robin Auld (Lord Justice of Appeal 1995-2007 and a member of the Privy Council 1995-present), investigating allegations of government corruption, which resulted in the territory’s Cabinet and Constitution being suspended, resulting in direct rule from Westminster.

Before joining Harris Hagan, Bahar worked for two years in the fitness to practise department of the Health and Care Professions Council in London, investigating and presenting disciplinary cases against health professionals before the HCPC’s various statutory committees.  She has also taught criminology and human rights to undergraduate law students.
